Various events such as traditional dance & sports, exhibition of handicrafts & herbal medicine, food festival, traditional boat race, elephant race, fashion show, aero sports, river rafting, angling, elephant safari  etc will be part of the celebrations.

(Simultaneous celebration of Food Festival, Exhibition, Para- sailing etc, will go on at Main Festival site)

The Festival shall continue with Exhibition Stalls, Games & Sports, Food Festival, Elephant Safari, Para-Sailing, River Rafting followed by Cultural Show & Camp Fire in the evening

Traditional dances

Dancing to the tune of musical instrument is an important part of life of tribal people. Lohit district is inhabited by different tribes like, -Miju Mishmis, Digaru Mishmis, Idu Mishmis, Khamptis, Singphos, Adis, Mishings, Deoris, Ahoms and Adivasis  having their own traditional song and dance with musical instruments.
Display of the traditional dances of all the tribes of the district will be held during the festival. Dance groups from other district of Arunachal Pradesh and troupes of Nagaland, Sikkim and Manipur shall also participate in the festival. Cultural troupes from Thailand and Myanmar is also likely to stage their traditional dances. Fashion show

 Fashion contest

Textile designs of Arunachal Pradesh are as varied as its different tribes. It will be delightful to watch beautiful models gyrating on the stage with designer tribal dress and costumes to the sound of music.

                                                                                                                                                                         

Exhibition of handloom and handicrafts 

Apart from fashion show, one can have a look at rich handicrafts and handlooms in the exhibition stall to be put -up by different districts. One can buy the clothes and articles as Souvenir to take to their home. Historical artifacts, old antiques like ornaments, musk, handlooms will also be displayed.

Food festival

Local drink being server in traditional style Khamptis and Singphoos of the district have rich food recipes which contains pasa (Fish and Vegetable soup), Tongtep-rich cakes grounded rice, Khawlam-boiled rice in bamboo khawhai- steamed rice etc., which are very delicious. Likewise Kaman Mishmis prepare a special dish- rice ball called Chanpai-consisting of boiled rice, dry fish, ginger, sesame (Til) and salt to taste. Indigenous games & sports

Elephant race

The khamptis are famous for their elephant catching and imparting training to domesticate the wild pachyderm.

They not only use the elephant for logging timber in jungles, but elephants are used in ploughing the fields and for elephant race and safari. The unique programme of Brahmaputra Darshan Festival will be Elephant Race by expert khampti Mahuts. Elephant safaris are also organized in Haju-paya forest range and kamlang Wildlife Sanctuary for the visitors.

Traditional boat race

Along with river Lohit, the district is criss-crossed by many other rivers like Noa-Dihing , kamlang, Barreng, Digaru, Tengapani and others . During summer days, communication between different parts of the district is possible only through boat services on different rivers. Khamptis, who were living in the midst of these rivers, have their own traditional boats and are expert in rowing. Rowing competition in traditional khampti boat will be one of the attractions at the site of River Puja at central Lohit during the festival.

The Mishmi people who lives on top of the mountains are known for their velour and heroism. Small skirmishes amongst different clans were the past life of the Mishmis. 
Mock war dance This had given rise to Mock-war games amongst the Mishmis which also forms a part of training. Show of Mock-war game traditionally called Didi be will be another attraction during the festival. Besides above mentioned traditional games, other games like Archery, Adventure sports, River rafting, Angling, Para-gliding and Ballooning will be part of the show during the festival time.

                                                                                                                                                                         

Exhibition of traditional herbal medicines

Unlike other tribes of the state, instead of taking recourse to perform pujas by priests during illness, the Khamptis depended upon the scientific method of treatment by herbal medicines. Local medicine-men are found to be expert in different fields of treatment like treating fractures of bones, malaria, jaundice, sexually transmitted diseases, child delivery etc. Exhibition of, the herbs used by khampti medicine-men will be held for visitors at the venue of exhibition.
                                                                                                                                                                         

Visit to important places

Apart from attending the festival on 29th to 30th January, 2003 at Tezu, the tourists or visitors can to different parts of the district to pristine scenic beauty of landscape or for pilgrimage to famous Parasuram kund and Buddhist pagodas located at Chongkham and Namsai areas.One can go for hitch-hiking the snow-capped mountains at kibithoo and Walong or sunrise at Dong village where first rise of sun fell on the first day of Millennium in India, River rafting at Lohit and Noa-Dihing river, Angling at Glow Lake or Tengapani, or a ride on elephant.
